Movement and Choreography for Young People
Ages 8+
Mondays 5-6pm
Calling all young people for free movement and choreography workshops with SE19Dance Project.
Join us for a 5 weeks project to learn the basics of creating your own choreography.
The workshop will contain an introduction to dance and focus on a variety of fun, stimulating and creative tasks to guide you through devising your own movement. Influenced by other art-forms such as literature, visual arts and theatre, we will work with different materials and objects to inspire movement.
Participants will develop new skills, make friends and learn how to express their individuality. At the end of these 5 weeks we will collect all our movement creations and create one long choreography together. This will be recorded and can be shared with friends and families.
Our classes are open for all abilities, skills and backgrounds. No prior dance experience is needed!
