Position: Creative Dance Teacher

Pay: £40 per hour

Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Creative Dance Teacher to join our team at SE19DanceProject. This role involves teaching creative dance to a range of ages and abilities, with a focus on developing creativity and movement skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver creative dance classes for various age groups

  • Encourage creativity, self-expression, and collaboration within classes.

  • Provide tailored teaching that meets the needs and abilities of all participants.

  • Ensure that classes are inclusive, accessible, and welcoming for all.

  • Work collaboratively with the SE19DanceProject team to create performances, workshops, and events.

  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.

  • Promote the SE19DanceProject ethos of creativity, community, and personal growth.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous experience teaching dance in a creative or contemporary style.

  • A passion for working with diverse groups and inspiring others through dance.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.

  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to different ages and learning styles.

  • A professional, reliable, and enthusiastic attitude.

  • DBS check and relevant safeguarding training will be required.

We are currently looking for permanent teacher for our class in Crystal Palace on Saturday mornings.

Position: Rambert Grades Teacher (Level 1)
Location: Crystal Palace, South East London
Start Date: September 2026

Pay: £40 per hour

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Rambert Grades Teacher to join our team at SE19DanceProject. This role involves teaching Grade 1 and Grade 2 Rambert Grades classes, nurturing young dancers through a creative and structured syllabus and supporting students in their progression towards next grades.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Grade 1 and Grade 2 Rambert Grades classes in line with the Rambert Grades syllabus.

  • Inspire and support students in developing their technical skills, creativity, and artistic expression.

  • Prepare and support students in their progression from Grade 1 and Grade 2 towards Grade 3, ensuring they develop the confidence and skills required for the next stage of their training.

  • Guide and prepare students for Rambert Grades examinations, monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback to ensure they are confident and ready for assessment.

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment for all participants.

  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet the individual needs and abilities of students.

  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support development and progression.

  • Work collaboratively with the SE19DanceProject team to contribute to performances, workshops, and community events.

  • Ensure all classes are delivered safely and in accordance with safeguarding and health and safety procedures.

  • Promote the SE19DanceProject ethos of creativity, community, and personal growth.

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Rambert Grades Teacher with Level 1 certification.

  • Experience teaching young dancers within the Rambert Grades syllabus.

  • Understanding of the progression pathway between Grades.

  • Passionate about inspiring children through dance and creative movement.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.

  • Ability to create inclusive and accessible classes for a diverse range of learners.

  • Professional, reliable, and enthusiastic, with excellent organisational skills.

  • Enhanced DBS check and relevant safeguarding training (or willingness to obtain these).
